The EP features ambient & acoustic landscapes amidst field recordings & textures created with everyday sounds. Originally written for a multimedia dance performance which premiered at The Place as part of Resolution Festival, the soundtrack accompanies elegant movement (choreographed by Magnus Westwell) and mesmerising visuals (created by Amy Dang).
The piece reflects and compares algorithms in man-made & natural forms. This is explored through use of field recordings of the city and nature, as well as recordings of acoustic instruments - such as violin and piano. The show was originally created by Syntrex - a multimedia collective, however not all parts have been featured in the new EP and some bits are left for the live-show only.
